In this Corporate Communications role, you will develop, implement, measure and consult on communication plans and practices across Optus.  You will support the Senior Leadership Team and the Manager, Internal Communications, helping to drive effective communication within the organisation - with an emphasis on strategic objectives, business performance, employee benefits and practices. You will play a major role in driving cultural change initiatives.

The role also supports the business with its communications, promoting appropriate corporate channels, and identifying opportunities for synergies where messages are aligned.

In this challenging and exciting role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively manage communication projects and campaigns
  • Drafting communications in consultation with stakeholders and facilitate review and approval processes
  • Supporting the roll out of major employee initiatives 
  • Project-managing key briefings, forums and events whilst meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Developing the annual internal communications strategy

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Very strong written communication skills perfected across a wide range of communication channels
  • Solid demonstrated communications experience within a corporate organisation
  • Strong experience in project/event management
  • Demonstrated experience with change management and HR communications
  • Ability to build sound relationships with senior managers and key stakeholders
  • Proven ability in communication strategy implementation with successful outcomes
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant area
  • Proficiency in IT systems and intranet
  • You are an excellent team player who has significant communications experience along with previous experience in events management.
  • You will be a confident, highly motivated individual with a ‘can do’ and ‘make it happen’ attitude.
