Here is an exciting opportunity to utilise your top tier law firm experience and join the team of highly motivated legal professionals at Optus. Working directly with the business, you will handle a complete portfolio of property matters and provide strategic assistance on property issues which affect all of Optus’ business.
We are seeking an experienced property lawyer as we have a 9 month block-time position. The successful applicant will assist with the legal work associated with the ongoing rollout and up-keep of our telecommunications networks. Our preference is for this position to be based at Optus’ head office in Macquarie Park, Sydney but applicants from other states will also be considered.
To be successful applicants need the following experience and skills:
- Current practising certificate
- Solid demonstrated Property law experience
- Telecommunications experience (desirable)
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to with project teams
- Ability to work autonomously and advise others
- Ability to set up the processes and infrastructure for an in-house property practice
- Ability to implement a system that records the benefits of performing property work in-house
